In the project that was installed in the community of Ilha Grande, in the municipality of Humberto de Campos, State of Maranhão, a mini solar energy grid is supplemented by a diesel system. The project was established between the company and the State of Maranhão’s electricity centers (CEMAR). The photovoltaic modules, which generate 30 kilowatts, are backed-up by a 30 kW engine.

Fifty consumer units were benefited with continuous, sustainable supply by the Maranhão Hybrid Project. These units cover roughly 250 people, who previously had to make it with at most three hours of electricity a day.
